What I've been doing is I completely maxed out the final boss invocations, since that gives 115 raid level, then did a few more small ones to reach 150, do runs to get used to a maxed final boss, and then add one more invocation per run, did a 230 run with no issues and I expect to reach 300 pretty soon.
